Description:
Expression of Interest are invited for Assessment for Implementing Electric-Mobility for Public Transport in Metropolitan Area of San Jose. Publication Date: 20-Jan-2023 Expression of Interest Deadline: 27-Jan-2023 Assignment Description: It is estimated that transport sector accounts for 50% of the total CO2 emission of the country. To decarbonize this heavy emission sector, Costa Rica announced the National Decarbonization Plan in 2019, in which Transport sector is one of the most important sectors to be decarbonized. It aims to reach 30% of the buses in the country to be zero emission by 2030 and increase the share to 85% by 2050. To facilitate the process of electrification of transport sector, the government has recently approved Electricity Transportation Promotion Law (N 9518), which will allow the country to offer a series of benefits that promote electric mobility establishing economic incentives, facilitating mobility and access to credit, among others.
